# Privacy policy

What data we receive, what we use it for, and how to ask us to correct or delete it. Short, and without the fine print.

Vexilo is a software development company based in Mexico and is responsible for the personal data described here. Last updated: August 27, 2026.

## What data we receive

- **When you write to us**, through the form, the chat, or by email: your name, your email, and whatever you choose to tell us, such as your company, your phone, and the message. The chat stores an anonymous identifier in your browser so we can pick the conversation back up if you return.
- **When you visit the site**: anonymous usage data through Google Analytics, such as the pages you open, what kind of device, and from which country. We don't use that information to identify you. We also look up the continent and country of your IP on our own geolocation service, to show two client logos only in the Americas, and, if the site's language is not your country's, to offer that language.

## What we use it for

- To write back, and if we keep talking, to work with you on your project.
- To understand which parts of the site get used and to improve it.

We don't send you ads or newsletters, and we don't sell or rent your data.

## Who it is shared with

With no one, except the services that run the site, email, and chat: the hosting provider, the email provider, Google Analytics, and Telegram (how chat messages reach us), which process the data on our behalf and under their own policies. Beyond that, only if a law or an authority requires it.

## Cookies

The site stores your light or dark mode preference in your browser, for a day the continent you are visiting from, and if you use the chat an anonymous identifier so we can pick that conversation back up. Google Analytics uses cookies to tell visits apart; you can block them from your browser or with the [Google opt-out add-on](https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) and the site still works.

## How long we keep it

Messages, for as long as the conversation or the project is alive and for as long as the law requires after that. Usage data, for as long as Google Analytics keeps it by default.

## Your rights

You can ask us to see, correct, or delete your data, or to stop using it, by writing to [contact-us@vexilo.com](mailto:contact-us@vexilo.com). We answer the same way and in a reasonable time; if we need to check it's you, we ask.

## Changes

If this policy changes, it is published here with the new date. If the change matters, we say so at the top of this page for a while.
